Personal car care. Exceptional customer service. This was the vision of a master Mercedes Benz technician Mario Rizzoli when he and his family opened the doors to Rizzoli’s Automotive on December 6, 1976. Sharing his dream were his wife Mary and son Jim who also were founders of this now three decade-old family business. In 1989, Jim and his wife, Kay purchased the operation, opened a second location in Santa Maria and grew the business to what it is today.
Rizzoli’s Automotive has earned its reputation as one of the premier repair facilities for American, Japanese and European vehicles in San Luis Obispo County. In 2007, the third generation of Rizzoli’s, Kyle and Karen, have joined the business. As the automotive industry progresses, Rizzoli’s is committed to keeping up with the latest in automotive technology. However, one aspect of the business remains the same. The Face of Our Santa Maria Shop: Bruce L. Best, Sr.
Bruce was the first employee of Rizzoli’s Automotive, starting the day the San Luis Obispo shop opened, December 6, 1976. He started as an automotive technician and, working with Mario and Jim Rizzoli, he quickly excelled, and learned to do the job right the first time. On February 1, 1992 Bruce was promoted to General Manager of the Santa Maria location and enjoys working with his team of dedicated employees to serve his customers and exemplifies the Rizzoli Difference!
